Firstly I would like to wish you all Happy New Year.
I decided not to make any personal New Years resolutions, they would only get broken as quickly as they were made! I also cannot get myself motivated to work on my fitness but thankfully I have a persistent trainer and I am being lured (if that is the right word) back this weekend for my first session of 2011 and indeed for over two months! I have never reached the stage where the endorphins’ kick in – it truly is effort!
It won’t surprise regular readers that I have, however, made some business New Year resolutions. I have stuck to my computer two messages that a mentor advised me to put up – ‘Together we can do this’ which is applicable to the Bales team and the second is ‘ I want to be the best boss you have ever had.’ Both are important to ensure we get to the goals so therefore 2 of my business resolutions is to make our company even more united and to work my hardest at attaining towards my second message.
So how does this help you if you are a customer? Well you know my passion for customer service and whilst this is a shared passion with the Bales team we can always step up even more to aim at exceeding your expectations, not just meeting them. Also as a leader I strongly believe in leadership by example and to respect staff. In turn that respect filters through to everything and everyone we work with and for. So look to be totally ‘wowed’ by us in 2011.
I have to thank so many of you that have helped the start of January by booking with us, it is a great start to the year and long may you continue to be our customers. We will live up to what we promise and give you the holiday of a lifetime wherever you have chosen or choose to go to.
I haven’t always been as organised as some of you are to book my own holidays but I do recognise the exciting anticipation of a holiday once it has been booked. We are going to China in September there is so much to do and see and it is indeed our brochure that has tempted me as I am keen to see Huanglong pools, have a look at page 100 if interested and of course see the stalagmite type mountains and lakes in magical Guilin, do the Yangtze cruise through the Gorges and take my family who haven’t been before to see and walk on the Great Wall, visit Beijing and Shanghai. So much to see it could take a life time but we are trying to pack it into 2 weeks. I am so excited just even writing about it.
We would welcome the opportunity of looking after your travel arrangements in 2011 so if you haven’t already booked I look forward to hearing from you
