The time is finally here…

I don’t know how many of you feel like this – but whatever time I get up in the morning – it is the last 5 minutes that I treasure. Between waking and getting up – oh just five minutes – how many of you feel like that?  Not today though!!!  I woke up with a leap in my step, almost jumped out of bed (well if you knew me that is not really a possibility but leaped!!) in my excitement to see the new Bales Worldwide brochure for 2011/2012.

Oh my goodness it is fantastic, probably the best brochure we have ever produced.  The images and the product we are presenting.  I defy anyone to look at this brochure without being inspired to travel with us.  For those of you that considerably helped with the research we conducted  on what you would like to see and what would make you want to travel by looking at the brochure  – we owe a lot of the new look and feel to you – thank you for your support.  We have brought in the itineraries you liked so much.  Our images are bigger, brighter with more contrast of the places we are offering – giving a better sense of what we offer in each country. I know that so many of you do a lot of research before you decide on your holiday destination and  also the company you choose to travel with  so please ensure you do get our brochure before you make your choice. I believe if we haven’t already, this time you will definitely chose to travel with Bales!!

What is more amazing is how do we continue to be the pioneer – when we have been trading for over 60 years and already featured so many of these 50 plus countries in over the years. .  The answer is of course by finding unusual places in the countries and unusual experiences to make the whole of your holiday authentic. The Product team have nailed this!!

I hope this doesn’t sound as if I am showing off, as our product and the brochure is done by a very dedicated team at Bales working with designers that have added the real je ne sais quoi’ and an amazing printer.  It is a real team effort for which if we were to win an award this would be the one we would win.

A pause for celebration is good and Rado, who is a maverick of so many things and works with me, has made a festive looking office using silver decorations to go in line with the cover.  Nevertheless of course we are working – we cannot afford a moment of being complacent  if we are to meet my goals of being the best company you have ever travelled with and of course to talk you into looking  into Bales a little further to see what makes us so special .

That all being said – I am now up at 5.30 every morning – in the gym by 6, and whilst everyone else seems to be really enjoying their fitness regime , my trainer notes that my eyes are  always looking at the clock hoping the hour will go quicker than yesterday.  I am genuinely surprised she is persevering, I am an accident waiting to happen and though she says I am improving I am not so sure!!   They have to be motivational I know  but we will know tomorrow when she does the whole test on  what I have achieved since I started – can you believe nearly 2 months ago!!

They say that when you are doing something physical , it takes your mind off other things but not for me – Whilst I was excited this morning about the brochure, I am always thinking of all the areas we need to work on to be outstanding and wanting Bales  to be taking you on a an exciting journey  from the day you  enquire  to the return of your u holiday – in  essence with the anticipation of it as well as the actual holiday – I do hope we achieve that but  I  would value some input from you – on not only what we do well but what we could do better. .  I think this would really help us going forward. So whether you have or haven’t travelled with Bales – your support to give me feedback would be so appreciate.  I would even invite you down to the gym so you can have a laugh watching me!!!
