I love the weeks where I meet with a lot of people – I just can’t get enough of people – I guess you could say I am a people addict as well as diet coke addict much to my Mothers disgust!! I know that my ideas for the business are heightened with the adrenalin of discussion with friends, business partners and colleagues. The only thing about ideas – and I know a lot of people will resonate with this – I cannot block my ‘thinking to certain hours’, so it means I am wide awake in the middle of the night with all the buzz that is going on in my head.
Anyway back to my big people week – I want to highlight two people that came over especially to meet with us from Egypt. They are Beryl and Tarek – the dynamic and charming couple that own the Dahabiyyas we use.
What? You don’t know what I am talking about?
The Dahabiyyas are the beautiful boats with 6 berths we contract exclusively for Bales use on the Nile in Egypt. We have 4 of them (Zahra, Nesma, Musk & Amber) and it is one of the best business decisions we have ever made. Having been on ‘other’ Dahabiyyas, I am 100% confident that we have the best and most authentic boats on the whole of the Nile. Each boat is theamed and each cabin is individually named and theamed. If you have read my blog before you may recall I call them the magic boats- simply because there is such a wonderful ambience that you feel as soon as you step on board. We have such a warm and close relationship with Beryl and Tarek – I could almost say that we work with magic people that created the magic boats.
We have already talked about our plans for 2011 and 2012 with them – thinking ahead!!
