It was good to read your Burma blog article - it makes Bales seem much less remote as a company and in touch with the desperate human rights situation in many countries not just Burma. I regularly travelled all through the former Eastern Bloc in the 1970s and the toppling of the Wall in 1989, 20 years ago this year - was a joy to thousands of people throughout the world. I believe that it was and is constant human interaction and communication - however you can manage it - that finally persuades us all of our shared humanity. Tourism as a force for good - when done well and sensitively. Let us all keep talking and walking!
