A young country where driving is a pleasure, petrol pump attendants still exist and the native forest is safe to wander freely on your own…. there are plenty of fine wines, such as Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and a plethora of fresh organic food… fishing is a serious hobby, scenic flights can be taken over volcanoes, swim with dolphins, see the whales or cruise the sparkling waters…. experience the sensitive Maori culture of this unspoilt land where the people are so friendly.
Yes, you’ve guessed it – it is pure, green, natural New Zealand.
Although it is a relatively new destination for Bales, we have re-introduced it at the right time. The country is seeing an increase in very upmarket hotels and lodges. Whether you want to self-drive, hire a motor home, enjoy an escorted coach tour, cycle or ride a motorbike, let us put together this unique product which will move your senses and change you as the rat race is long behind you. We are keen to share our wonderful experiences.
We all need some points of tranquillity and reflection in this stressful life. New Zealand may be your answer. Pick a few places and immerse yourself in the culture of each location…

When I joined Bales, approximately 11 years ago, it gave me the opportunity to expand my knowledge and my love of discovering new destinations. Over the years, I have been lucky enough to travel to some of the world’s most beautiful and remarkable countries. On several occasions, Bales have also given me the responsibility and privilege of being tour manager on a number of our escorted trips.
I have thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of being tour manager especially planning the journeys, inspecting the hotels, meeting the locals, tasting the food and wine and experiencing the culture and atmosphere of every destination.
Eleven years on and I am still passionate about travelling. Currently, I specialise in Central and South America and enjoy passing on my vast product knowledge to our clients.
