I really would appreciate it if you would all help me, please! I attended the most amazing seminar today and amongst the many learnings, I picked up a lot more insight into marketing on line. Ruby Wax was the final speaker, a real wow! She spoke engagingly and amusingly but also gave us some very serious messages and without doubt the conference delegates all took away a lot from her presentation. I am not sure how she took it, but I approached her afterwards and said how I liked her so much more than I thought I would and that she had a lot more integrity and depth than I thought she would have! My children take the Mickey out of me because so many days when I am out and about meeting people I get inspired by them. In fact, they ask me regularly ‘did you get inspired today?’ It’s not that I am easily impressed, I am just fortunate enough to meet so many people who really do make a difference to the lives of others and are such contributing pillars of our society. Today was no exception.
Anyway I said earlier I need your help please. This is because at the very core of our business values is our passion to get the Bales holiday experience to always exceed your expectations. To continue to do this I need to know more from all of you; are we offering what you want? What makes you choose to travel with us? If you do not choose to travel with us what is the deterrent and what could we do to attract you to try a Bales experience? I really want to know from you ALL please! What may tip you or tempt you more to choose to travel with us? Understanding our customers (or potential customers) enables Bales to deliver exactly what you want and witness first hand how very special and different our holidays can be.

Back to the online marketing – I was amazed how important it is for a company to have blogs. I can assure you I was sceptical about doing a blog and it was Iain, our Sales and Marketing Director, that pushed the point that we needed to let you know more about the personality of the company and what we stand for. I guess that it depends very much on if you like what the author has to say and if it makes you feel that you are getting to know them more.
I love so much the fact that every day of our lives we learn: I have an insatiable learning appetite and want to absorb all new information and newly acquired knowledge. Combined with my incredibly high work ethic, I have an energy and keenness to soak it all in – amazing really when you consider I skipped so much of my school education, and no, not because I was ill, but simply because I was never a good school girl preferring to play truant. I must have been a real thorn in the side of many of the teachers and I publicly apologise to them, it is just that I wasn’t really a person to take on the school style of learning.
Going back to your invaluable feedback – I have thought more about it and if you take the time to help me, I will actually repay you by sending a bottle of champagne as a thank you . A truant I was, but I was brought up by my parents with good manners being high on my personal agenda and so it is only right that I send you a gift of appreciation.
I am off to bed now – having had the most exhilarating day and evening, my energy is waning at 1.30a.m. Goodnight.
