Bales Worldwide adds new dead sea Anantara Spa to Arabia Collection

Bales Worldwide is one of the first operators to offer the new Anantara Spa at The Kempinski Hotel Ishtar, Jordan, due to open on 1 May 2008. The cutting edge spa on the shores of the Dead Sea is set to be the largest in the Middle Eastand will be available as part of Bales’ bespoke travel itineraries to the country. It is the perfect place to lay back and relax after a few days on your feet exploring the ancient city of Petra, or one of Jordan’s many other archaeological sites.

The stunning spa will be over 10,000 metres in size, and is set to become the largest in the Middle East. It will have 20 treatment rooms, a large studio for yoga, Tai Chi, meditation and pilates lessons, as well as outdoor therapy lounges, 28 spa suites, Hammam pools, outdoor and indoor Jacuzzi, steam room, Ayurveda, Asian therapies and local salt and mud treatments. The spa will also boast Watsu pools – Watsu is a very soothing type of massage that takes place in waist-deep water.

Located on the shores of the Dead Sea the Anantara Spa really is set in the perfect environment, with ozone rich air, mineral loaded mud and a tranquil atmosphere. The treatments will make full use of the local natural ingredients but the resort will also be offering luxurious, exotic oils and elixirs, such as bergamot, ginger, ylang-ylang and lemon grass. All the treatments are designed to deliver deep relaxation, a feeling of radiance and complete well-being.

The Kempinski Hotel Ishtar resort is set amidst landscaped gardens, lagoons and pools, and all of the rooms are a combination of contemporary decor, private balconies, terraces and views across the Dead Sea.

Bales offers a wide range of travel options to Jordan and can combine this new spa experience with visits to the more classic sites of Jordan including Petra, Wadi Rum and Karnak. For those looking for adventure and relaxing a three day trek along the ‘Trail to Petra’ combined with a stay at the Kempinski Hotel Ishtar on the Dead Sea would offer the perfect combination.
