Award winning comedy writer travels with Bales Worldwide on a Far East Adventure

Comedy writer and actor Stephen Merchant, famous for his work with Ricky Gervais on The Office, has just got back from a fifteen day tour with Bales Worldwide in Vietnam and Cambodia.

Stephen began his adventure exploring Vietnam’s Capital, Hanoi, a city of tree lined avenues and ornate architecture which still exudes all the colonial elegance of its French heritage. A night cruising along Halong Bay on a wooden junk was a must, to witness the thousands of sculptured limestone islands.

His next stop was the bustling city of Hue, once the countries capital and full of historical ruins.

A few days relaxation on the beautiful sandy beaches of Nha Trang was next on the itinerary, before crossing the border to Cambodia, where he stayed at the Aman Sara resort, a peaceful hideaway set in a lush garden enclosure next to the iconic temples of Angkor Wat.
